Angel’s mother was doing well as a hairdresser while his father was  gainfully employed as a construction worker. The kids were all doing well in school. The “American Dream” seemed accessible as they moved to a better apartment and purchased a car.  Then the dream turned into a nightmare.

Angel is a DREAMer who came to California at the age of 10. He is an educator, currently teaching in East San Jose. He went to school at San Francisco State where he double majored in Latino studies and Spanish. He then attended University of San Francisco where he got his teaching credentials and Masters degree.

Angel was one of the storytellers at the event, “Walk of DREAMers: An Evening of Stories” in Palo Alto, CA on June 29th, 2016.
